Raul Instrumentos de Percussão was founded by two friends, toolmaker Paulo Bauer and percussionist and craftsman Raul Serpeloni in 1984 in Brazi. In January 1995, Raul left while they continued building these tumbadoras with the founder Paolo Bauer and his children, Ricardo and Adriana Bauer; the company was in 2000 renamed Bauer Percussion.
